“Mt. Baldy Tour” – July 18, 2020

Our 100 mile tour on July 18th took us to Mt. Baldy in the Angeles National Forest and then on across the Glendora Ridge and Glendora Mountain Roads.  Nineteen of us enjoyed a beautiful day with beautiful mountain sights to behold.  Only one of our eleven cars konked out enroute.  The drive up the grade on Mt. Baldy Road was a little too much for Van Schultz’ sedan and it had to be trucked home by AAA.  However, Van and Mary cheerfully continued on the tour with Chuck Harrison in his Model A.  It was fun outing complete with a running board picnic and a stop for ice cream on the way home.  We all had BIG SMILES on our faces during the tour.  This was as Huell Howser would say, “California Gold”.

Beautiful byways!  One wouldn’t call them highways! 🙂
